Invitation
The Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment of the Republic of Cuba (CITMA) invites researchers, technologists, innovators, professors, managers of science and innovation systems, and other specialists from all over the world who work for the sustainability of our planet to take part in the International Convention on Science, Technology and Innovation.
The Convention will take place from October 5 to 9, 2026, at the Havana Convention Center (Palacio de Convenciones), Havana, Cuba. In this edition we will share the motto: “Science with Conscience, Homeland with a future”.
Among its main objectives, the event aims to promote integration, the exchange of experiences, and sustainable practices, as well as to analyze progress and achievements reached in science, technology and innovation in the thematic areas announced.
The event will be held in a hybrid format, facilitating access to and dissemination of presentations by nationally and internationally renowned experts. Keynote lectures will be delivered, and congresses, symposia, workshops, forums and meetings will be held on priority topics with national and international impact.
In parallel, the 1st Edition of the International Fair for Innovation for Development—organized in Cuba—will be held, enabling the exhibition of results achieved in technologies, innovation and experiences in the disciplines addressed.
The Fair will promote the role of interface activities in achieving a real connection that ensures closing the innovation cycle. Industrial property management, quality management, legal and regulatory activity, technology transfer and commercialization will also be part of this purpose.
It will be a space for theoretical and practical exchange aimed at fostering an innovation culture, within which projections will also be identified regarding emerging aspects where alliances—based on the decisive contribution of knowledge—will generate new innovations.
Within the framework of the event, a special moment will be the Award Ceremony of the UNESCO “Carlos J. Finlay” Prize for Microbiology, granted to distinguished personalities in recognition of extraordinary merits and contributions to the development of science.
The Organizing Committee reiterates its invitation to participate with your professional contributions and assures you that we will achieve our common goals in a climate of integration, cooperation and solidarity, as a well-deserved and fair tribute to the main promoter of scientific development in Cuba, the Historic Leader of the Cuban Revolution Fidel Castro Ruz, in the Year of the Centenary of his Birth.
Sincerely,
Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment of the Republic of Cuba.
